At just 10 years old, Abdul’s journey is a testimony that disability is not inability. Abdul, a bright young boy living with Cerebral Palsy, faced significant physical challenges. He had difficulty maintaining an upright sitting posture and often sat in a “W” position for stability. Standing and walking independently seemed far from reach. Simple daily activities required support, patience, and encouragement.

For the past two years, Abdul has been receiving consistent Physiotherapy treatment at Elpis Rehabilitation Services (ERS). Through structured therapy sessions focusing on posture control, trunk stability, muscle strengthening, and functional training, Abdul gradually gained better sitting balance and improved overall body control.

As his functional abilities improved, the Elpis team advised his family to take a bold step — enroll him in school. It was a big decision. Like many parents of children with disabilities, Abdul’s father had fears and doubts. Would he cope? Would he be accepted? Would he manage academically?
